Ubisoft’s ‘Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora’ game is delayed

Ubisoft’s next game Avatar: Pandora’s Frontiers has been delayed to give the devs time to properly work on it.

Last year, Ubisoft gave us a first look at its upcoming Avatar game based on the James Cameron films of the same name. Little is known about the upcoming game, titled Avatar: Pandora’s Frontiers, beyond the fact that it will take place on the same world and will lead to conflict between the Na’vi and humans. The game was originally slated for release later this year to coincide with the release of Avatar: The Way of the Water but has now been delayed.

As part of its financial income, Ubisoft has revealed that the next Avatar the game would now be released between 2023 and 2024:

“Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will now be released in 2023-24. We are committed to delivering a cutting-edge immersive experience that takes full advantage of next-gen technology, as this incredible global entertainment brand represents a major multi-year opportunity for Ubisoft,” the publisher said of the delay. “While this additional development time reflects the current ongoing constraints on productions across the industry, we are working hard to design the most efficient working conditions to ensure both the flexibility of our teams as well as high productivity while offering the best experiences to players.”

Here is James Cameron’s synopsis Avatar: The Way of the Water:
