Tatiana Maslany bids farewell to the Clone Club and joins the Marvel Empire. The Emmy-winning ‘Orphan Black’ alumnus is headlining ‘She Hulk: Attorney at Law.’ “Who is going to protect the world if not for people like you? she asked in a new trailer for the Disney+ series.
Bruce Banner’s cousin, Jennifer Walters – aka She-Hulk – is a 30-year-old lawyer who has just been asked to lead her firm’s “superhuman law division.” Jennifer just wants to be “normal” and “anonymous,” but she happens to be a 6-foot-7 superpowered hulk. Warned that her transformations are “triggered by anger and fear,” she replies, “They’re like the baseline of any woman who comes into existence.”
Whether Jennifer likes it or not, she is “a story now” and she will have to learn to harness her power.
“She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” arrives on Disney+ on August 17. Jennifer Gao (“Silicon Valley”) is editor-in-chief, and Kat Coiro (“Dead to Me”) and Anu Valia (“Never Have I Ever”) are directing. The show’s supporting cast includes Ginger Gonzaga (“Kidding”), Jameela Jamil (“The Good Place”) and Renée Elise Goldsberry (“Girls5eva”).
