Pensioner receives £10,000 PPI payout – thousands more could claim | Personal finance | Finance

The deadline for complaining to a company about mis-sold PPIs was August 29, 2019, but a pensioner has since received another payout which could pave the way for other Britons to receive compensation.

The Yorkshire woman held credit cards from HSBC, Halifax and Lloyds for almost 40 years and was initially awarded a PPI settlement of over £20,000.

Pam was happy with the payment and used the money to redecorate her bathroom and pay for repairs to her house.

During the first lockdown of 2020, Pam, who lives and cares for her wheelchair-bound sister-in-law, was contacted by Cheval Legal as her case had been referred by the former claims management company she had used to retrieve the PPI.
