Ontario bishop charged with church sex offenses

BRAMPTON, Ont. – Peel Regional Police say they have arrested a religious leader accused of sex.

According to police, the complainant was sexually assaulted while attending church in Brampton, Ontario.

Investigators say the police’s Special Victims Unit charged Bishop Clive Walters of Dundalk, Ont., with sexual assault and sexual interference on Friday.

Walters, 58, is scheduled to appear in Ontario Court of Justice on October 3.

According to the police, the investigation is ongoing.
