NYT report on what Rep. Liz Cheney’s campaign sends WY Dems reeks of desperation

Republican Rep. Liz Cheney is about 30 points behind her GOP opponent as the August primary election quickly approaches, and it appears Cheney’s campaign is taking a “kitchen sink” approach to trying to close that gap:

It looks like things have changed:

This will make a “how it started/how it’s going” and a hunter for the ages.

This falls under the “good luck with that” category:

Joseph Barbuto, the chairman of the Wyoming Democratic Party, was among those who received instructions from Ms Cheney. Mr. Barbuto said that over the past week, his social media feeds have been flooded with Democrats — and only Democrats — posting about receiving mail from the Cheney campaign.

Recruiting Democratic supporters has been a sensitive topic for Ms. Cheney since she voted to impeach former President Donald J. Trump following the Jan. 6, 2021, attack. She kicked off her August primary contest with Harriet Hageman, who is allied and endorsed by Mr. Trump, as a battle for the soul of the Republican Party. Recruiting Democrats for this fight could undermine those efforts.

It seems that the level of desperation is increasing.

That says a lot. Also, Adam Kinzinger, the other Republican on Committee 1/6, is not seeking re-election.
