Is MyPrepaidCenter Legit?

If you have received a gift card from MyPrepaidCenter, which you can redeem to spend with your prepaid cards, you could be unsure of whether it is legit or not. Well, we can safely say that MyPrepaidCenter is a totally legitimate platform. However, there are lots of fake scam pages that mimic this website. So, making sure and double-checking the authenticity of the website is extremely vital. To be totally sure that you’re on the right website, see that the name of the website you’re entering is exactly the same on the gift card. This will also remove you from the risk of fraud or scams.

Also, you can take additional steps by scanning the QR code or calling the helpline number to confirm the legitimacy of the website. Whenever you get a gift card or token, make sure that the link you’re following has no spelling errors by typing in the words exactly as it is.

Activation went smooth for me, my problem is I can’t use it online, like some merchant won’t accept it. Tried multiple stores and none worked for me. Is there a list of merchant who accept those cards? thank you

Response from OnlyExplorer

Hello Samantha, please check their official link for merchant list :
Normally you can use your card everywhere in the U.S. expect gas stations and ATMs.
If your card keep getting declined, try again using the billing address linked to your card, it can be your case.

Can’t activate my card, isn’t there any other option than the website? Can’t reach them via phone too.

Response from OnlyExplorer

Hello Robert, you can activate your card using the official Myprepaidcenter website, or by calling the phone numbers related :
Keep in mind, by calling that phone number, you can activate your card by just following few steps, it’s an Automatic call. No need to talk with a representative for card activation.

I received a settlement payment from a class action lawsuit and a prepaid online MasterCard from this company was my only payment option. To activate the virtual card and obtain the card information, I was forced to complete a maddeningly complicated matching dice captcha (find a matching pair of icons out of 30 different dice, some of which are upside down and in dark shadows, six times in a row) – a deliberately near-impossible task specifically designed to make you fail. I had to do this 12 times. Then I had to wait for verification codes that expire in 15 minutes to be emailed to me- again, 12 times- but the first 11 codes expired before I received them. There are many, many complaints from cardholders that the prepaid cards have a ridiculously short expiration date, and cards frequently expire before the balance can be used. The fees are exorbitant , unreasonable, and hidden in such fine print you’ll never see them: they charge you to convert the online card to a plastic one, to use it at an ATM, to transfer funds to another card, to send a paper statement, to use it in foreign transactions, to replace a lost card, the list goes on & on. Forget about customer service or finding an answer in their FAQs- the search function on the website is broken. It appears everything about these cards is deliberately designed to prevent you from activating them and using the funds. Perhaps they get a kickback from the issuing merchants based on a percentage of the funds that go unclaimed? I can think of no other reason for this company to exist.

Tried to activate the card but each time I’m getting a message “Try Again Later”, tried different browser also on mobile, still no success. Can’t either get a replacement for the card by contacting their support, totally unacceptable, they don’t deserve even 1 star
