The Regina Police Department said in a news release that officers were called to the 200 block of Victoria Avenue to a report of a man who had been pepper sprayed. Police did not provide a time for the incident, but said it happened “early in the morning”.
The 42-year-old victim was able to give police a description of the suspect, and officers found a man matching that description in a nearby alley. Police also found bear spray and a revolver-style BB gun.
The man was charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a firearm and was released. He is scheduled to appear in provincial court on September 20.
