Police are looking for two men after a 20-year-old was ‘doused with petrol and set on fire’ while sitting in his car at a petrol station.

Officers have released photos of two men they want to talk to about the attack at a Texaco garage in the town of Dudley last Thursday night.

The victim was seriously injured but is in stable condition in hospital.

West Midlands Police have named one of the men as Stephen Burden, 30, who has links to Wednesdaybury in the Black Country.

He was captured on CCTV wearing a Nike Air sweatshirt.

The second man is wearing a blue Adidas tracksuit.

The attack took place around 7pm at a Texaco garage on Himley Road.

Detective Inspector Jackie Nicholson said: “We urgently need to speak to these two men and I would like to ask them directly to get in touch as soon as possible.

“We have trawled CCTV in the area, spoken to a number of witnesses and our investigations are ongoing. »

Anyone who spots the suspects or has information about their whereabouts should not approach them, but contact the police urgently on 999, quoting crime reference 20/518813/22.
