Congratulations are in order because Louis Tomlinson has become an uncle for the first time. Her makeup artist sister Lottie Tomlinson gave birth to a baby boy as she took to Instagram on August 10 to share the happy news. Alongside a photo of the baby’s lower body and hands, the 24-year-old wrote, “dreams come true” with a red heart emoji.
The newest arrival will no doubt be a much appreciated addition to the Tomlinson family, which has had its share of difficult experiences. The former One Direction star’s mother Johannah tragically died in 2016 of leukemia while her sister Félicité died in 2019 aged just 18. Louis grew up the eldest of seven siblings and has his own 6-year-old son, Freddie. , who he shares with ex-girlfriend Briana Jungwirth, so he’s well-equipped for his uncle’s babysitting duties.
While Louis has yet to publicly comment on his new nephew, his twin siblings have taken to social media to express their joy. Daisy declared the occasion ‘Auntie Day’, sharing a photo of the new baby alongside Louis’ son, while Phoebe exclaimed how she was ‘beyond proud’ of her sister for putting on in the world such a “perfect” little boy. Lottie shares her unnamed son with tennis coach Lewis Burton, who is the ex-boyfriend of the late Caroline Flack. He took to his Instagram to post a picture of his other half, writing, “so proud of you, we’re both lucky to have you.”
Louis is expected to release new music later this year, following the success of 2020’s solo album “Walls.” The Doncaster-born singer often draws on his own experiences to write music, with the song ‘The Two of Us’ acting as a personal letter to his mother after her death. One can’t help but wonder if his new nephew or son will make an appearance on the album as fellow band member Harry Styles’ goddaughter at the start of the single “As It Was.” Only time will tell.
Welcome to the world, kid. We imagine Louis will make a cool uncle.
