James Gunn Teases Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is Bigger and More Emotional

Attendees at San Diego Comic-Con got to see the first teaser of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Although director James Gunn isn’t releasing it for the rest of us, he teased THR that the guardians of the galaxy sequel is a bigger and more moving film than the first two.

It’s a much bigger film than the other two films, and it’s a much more emotional film than the other two films, said James Gunn. “And it’s a longer movie than the other two movies – it’s bigger in every way.” The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 The teaser shown at Comic-Con not only surprised the audience, but also the cast. Karen Gillan said the cast shed a lot of tears watching the footage for the first time, as it brings back the deeply emotional experience of making the film.

It was emotional to do it, that’s for sure. There was, of course, so much fun in the movie and seeing fun sequences where the emotion isn’t so heavy, but ohthere are scenes where the emotion is heavier than it has ever been in the Guardians world. It was hard to get through some of them.

Gillan continued: “It’s definitely the most epic. It’s complex, and the characters have to deal with that. It is very moving for each of them. And then we’re also faced with the fact that it’s the end of some kind of an era, and so there’s a lot of emotion.“As James Gunn said, this will be the last guardians of the galaxy movie with this team, I’m sure there won’t be many dry eyes in theaters when it finally comes out.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will star Chris Pratt as Peter Quill, Zoe Saldaña as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Bradley Cooper as Groot, Vin Diesel as Groot, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Elizabeth Debicki as Ayesha, Sean Gunn as Kraglin, Sylvester Stallone as Stakar, Will Poulter as Adam Warlock, Maria Bakalova as Cosmo the Spacedog, and Chukwudi Iwuji as High Evolutionary.
