After 12 weeks of grueling training and competition, things have come to a head for the 12 celebrities taking part in Friday night’s edition of the ITV Games. It was the conclusion of a week-long event that saw six men and six women put their sporting prowess to the test through a variety of events.
Heading into the finale, singer-songwriter Chelcee Grimes comfortably led the women’s rankings, ahead of Mel B’s daughter Phoenix Chi Gulzar, with the pair clashing regularly over the five episodes. As for the men, ex-Love Islander Wes Nelson leads the pack with 33 points, two ahead of actor Ryan Thomas and five ahead of Harry Potter star Josh Herdman.
The first event of the final episode saw Phoenix triumph over Chelcee in sport climbing, while Wes edged out Josh in the thrilling men’s final. The next event was the Women’s Weightlifting which saw actress Rebecca Sarker upset the two dominants by claiming victory.

In the end, it all came down to the 100m for both men and women.
First of all, the woman with Chelcee Grimes absolutely stormed the court and won by tremendous distance – similar to the kind of wins that Usain Bolt has handed us for many years. She beat Phoenix by nearly a second while Rebecca rounded out the top three.
It was a similar story for the men with Wes Nelson leaving everyone in his wake, completing a dominant week for the 24-year-old.
These two results cemented their positions at the top of their respective rankings and they were duly rewarded with their gold medals. The two finalists were Ryan Thomas and Phoenix Chi Gulzar while Josh Herdman and Rebecca Sarker picked up the bronze medals.
On Twitter, @katiecatheralll was full of admiration for the winning pair: “Loved watching @TheGamesTV this week! That’s sports! Amazing from Chelcee and Wes, and my amazing Rebecca! While @ScottyD_17 wasn’t surprised Shock Horror, pro footballer @ChelceeGrimes wins @TheGamesTV #TheGames. »
