“We find the 3 squares, we find the treasure.” It might not be the sequel we were expecting… but it could still be an entertaining series. Disney recently revealed that they are now in production on a new streaming series titled National Treasure: Edge of History – a continuation of the beloved national treasure set of films from 2004 and 2007. I’m big fans of both – which starred Nicolas Cage as treasure hunter Benjamin Gates. Unfortunately, they didn’t get Cage back for it, which instantly dampens most of my excitement. This new series is instead told from the perspective of Jess Morales, a twenty-year-old DREAMer who, along with her diverse group of friends, embarks on the adventure of a lifetime to uncover her mysterious family history and find a lost treasure. . Lisette Oliviera stars like Jess, with a main cast including Lyndon Smith, Zuri Roseau, Jake AustinWalker, Antoine Cipriano, Jordan Rodriguez like Ethan, more justin barta & Harvey Keitel from movies. And Catherine Zeta Jones as the villainous Billie, a badass billionaire expert in black market antiques. This tease is more of an announcement/revelation – but the featurette has a lot more footage.
