Idaho GOP moves to falsely declare Biden’s presidency illegitimate

The Idaho Republican Party is poised to follow in the footsteps of its Texas counterpart, and then take a few more steps.

During its three-day convention in Twin Falls, which began Thursday, the Idaho GOP will vote on whether to pass a resolution that falsely claims President Joe Biden didn’t actually win the presidential election. 2020 and refers to Biden as “interim president”.

According to the Associated Press, the resolution’s language is almost identical to that used by the Texas GOP, whose resolution that was approved last month states, “We reject the certified results of the 2020 presidential election; and we contend that Interim President Joseph Robinette Biden was not legitimately elected by the people of the United States.

But the Idaho version would be even more extreme.

Not only does it claim that Biden’s victory was illegitimate, but it also includes a blatant lie claiming that fake 2020 Republican election audits in Wisconsin and Arizona found evidence of fraud, which they didn’t. absolutely not.

The Texas GOP resolution didn’t just inspire Republicans in Idaho: GOP county committees in Arizona (Maricopa County), Wisconsin (Langlade County), and Montana (Ravalli and Lewis and Clark counties) are considering or have already adopted similar platforms denying the 2020 election results.
