Guillermo del Toro completely unblocks the Cabinet of Curiosities with a new horror anthology series for Netflix.
Based on its own short story of the same name, and with each episode said to have been introduced by the director himself, the series will see eight horror stories from famous filmmakers, including Del Toro. The director is no stranger to horror anthologies, with Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark taking us back to the hell of our childhood in 2019.
The talent of this project is quite the drawcard – The Babadook director Jennifer Kent, A girl walks home alone at night director Ana Lily Amirpour, mandy director Panos Cosmatos, Splice director Vincenzo Natali, Fire starter director Keith Thomas and more.
The cast will include F. Murray Abraham, Ben Barnes, Elpidia Carrillo, Essie Davis, Hannah Galway, Crispin Glover, Demetrius Grosse, David Hewlett, Andrew Lincoln, Tim Blake Nelson, Luke Roberts, Sebastian Roché, Glynn Turman and Peter Weller, as so Eric André, Sofia Boutella, Rupert Grint, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Kate Micucci and Charlyne Yi.
Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities is streaming on Netflix TBC.
