CRT symposium speaker calls feces diversity of thought ‘white supremacist’

Does diversity of thought equal white supremacy? It seems so, according to a university professor.

As Campus Reform reported, scholars recently gathered for a conference on critical race theory. Organized by Critical Race Studies in Education Association (CRSEA) and hosted by Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, the symposium ran May 31-June 2.

The CRSEA website describes its mission as follows:

[W]We are committed to (1) countering and combating systemic and structural racism with scholarship and practice, (2) recognizing the multiple sites of oppression and the myriad manifestations and effects of their intersections, and (3) co -build liberating knowledge that facilitates collective action to transform schools and communities.

Midway through the meeting, the instructors pondered the most pernicious of all contemporary scourges, whiteness.

According to a witness, per Campus Reform, a Californian university professor was fired:

“Whiteness has already been built against darkness. There is no virtue in whiteness, it is inherently violent,” one conference attendee tweeted, referencing a quote from University of California, Berkeley professor Michael Dumas, who spoke. during the event.

Continued:

“Whiteness and the United States know each other through the violence and death of subordinates,” said another participant quoting Dumas, an academic at the conference noting that Dumas asserted that “there is no position of whiteness that is not already violent”.

CR cites tweets from the professor to that effect, but they appear to have been deleted or marked as private.

Dumas in particular has expressed similar views in the past, Tweeter that “whiteness” is “violent and delirious, reveling in black death at every historical moment”, affirming at the recent conference that “there will never be anything close to justice in the United States because the system is built on violence”.

The outlet relays another characterization by Indiana University-Purdue Professor James Scheurich, who claimed that “research” is a “colonial, white supremacist elite process.”

Here’s more:

Professor Theodorea Berry has suggested that “some people need to be woken up”.

“The proverbial ‘slap’ is the marginalization incident,” she said. [explained to Campus Reform]. “The ‘awakening’ is the realization that no matter how privileged you are, marginalization can happen. »

One participant, one Ph.D. candidate at the University of Chicago, concluded her visit to the conference by noting that she is “happy” since she managed to collect “a few white tears”.

Perhaps the most notable claim from the conference came from Professor David Stovall of the University of Illinois at Chicago. He reportedly called “diversity of opinion” a “white supremacist bull—-“.

He also reportedly announced, “White tears are an act of physical and political violence.”

It seems that the awakening is the Windex that works on the whiteness, but can the pale poison be eliminated?

Schools are sure to try it:

Teacher tells audience we’re ‘dying white’

Disastrously, white supremacy seems to be everywhere:

What’s Behind Black Hate Crimes Against Asians? “White supremacy,” says Colorado professor

Law professor denounces ‘white supremacy’ of Constitution, calls for ‘anti-racist’ replacement

Fortunately, some are fighting against this – and not just in academia.

MSNBC host Chuck Todd is doing his part. He opposes the white supremacy of “free speech”:

If “free speech” is just code for “white supremacy” – or, back to the lecture, if diversity of thought equals racism – the world is upside down, indeed.

And if none of this is correct, then given all of the above… America still has some substantial issues to deal with.

And it doesn’t look like we’ll be solving them together anytime soon.
