Diving deeper into the research, Mr Howroyd shared how much households could save monthly using methods such as the Tesco Clubcard.
He added: “Our data also shows that almost a third of consumers (30%) are looking to save £5-10 a month through loyalty schemes.
“With Clubcard, which recently enhanced (in addition to its loyalty-exclusive pricing) the transparency of its loyalty program to highlight how customers can save on specific products, as well as the discount percentages that they are likely to receive on their bill.
“This increased transparency has dramatically improved their loyalty offering and is something competitors would do well to replicate if they want to level the playing field with Tesco. »
