Biden spox considers question about threat of China shooting down Pelosi plane too hypothetical

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will be visiting Asia soon and at this time it is unclear whether a stop in Taiwan will take place:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is set to leave for Asia on Friday, beginning a diplomatic trip that could upset the Chinese Communist Party.

Pelosi is due to visit several allied Asian countries during his multi-day tour of the continent.

One possible destination with major ramifications is Taiwan – officially known as the Republic of China. The island was expecting a visit from Pelosi, but recent threats from the People’s Republic of China have brought the potential visit to the world’s attention.

Earlier, we told you about a CCP propagandist who tweeted that the PLA reserves the right to take action to prevent Pelosi’s plane (and any escort planes) from landing in Taiwan, until to shoot down planes. During today’s briefing, Karine Jean-Pierre was asked about it, and of course Biden’s spox immediately condemned the rhetoric that came from China. Wait, no, she didn’t – the question is considered too hypothetical:

What does Biden think? We probably won’t know for a while, if ever.

Maybe they only wake him up when something important happens.

No. The question was “too hypothetical” according to KJP.

The world has already been informed that “minor incursions” will be acceptable.

Maybe Biden will have something to say about that when his schedule clears up.

According to the White House, Biden presides over a well-oiled machine and all is well.
