Best reactions on Twitter and Instagram at the Met Gala 2022

Happy first Monday of May to all those who celebrate it. Now that we’re largely on the fact that they’ve named this year’s Met Gala theme almost exactly the same as last year’s (we know, we know, that’s part of them of the same theme), we are here to sum up the best of the evening: the reactions of the Internet. (If you’re just looking for the best fashion of the night, it’s here.) The theme is “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion,” focusing specifically on styles from the Golden Age (1870s to 1899), or white tie. So far, celebrities… are putting their own spin on it. The weather is bad and rainy in New York, which means it’s also arm day for dozens of people holding umbrellas to protect the precious cargo.

At the time of the pub, a few questions float in the air: Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian are making their second appearance together this week? Will she wear that iconic Marilyn Monroe dress? Will Timothée Chalamet show up again in a tracksuit? Will Rihanna be there???? And what will Twitter say? We have at least one answer on this last point.
