Wet Leg, Rosalía, Kacey Musgraves and more made the cut

Like clockwork, Barack Obama has ditched his annual summer playlist — and like years past, his new tracklist is a reminder that former US presidents can taste good, too, apparently.
No matter what you think of Obama’s presidency, it’s hard to deny that this year’s playlist is filled with absolute bangers. Wet Leg, Kacey Musgraves, Bad Bunny and Rosalía are among Obama’s more recent favorites, while he has apparently revisited some classics, including Al Green, Miles Davis and Nina Simone, among others.
While it’s kind of fun to think Obama about Wet Leg’s “Angelica,” there are other particularly shocking additions to this year’s roster — like Lil Yachty’s “Split/Whole Time,” “Persuasive” by Doechii and Maggie Rogers “This is Where I Am”, to name a few.
Check out the entire playlist below.
Every year I’m excited to share my summer playlist because I get to know so many new artists from your responses. It’s an example of how music can really bring us together.
Here’s what I listened to this summer. What songs would you add? pic.twitter.com/9OgPq0SRy4
